10. An Ode To Mr. Shade

In the castle by a frozen river,
Dusk and darkness lightly shiver
As the wind dies down
Like hope of men as they drown.

In the castle lives a shade, and his shadow
Hush, the spirits howl in the haunted meadow
In darkness, time matters not
For we cannot see the hands of a clock

If revenge is the shadow, then vengeance is its shade
That is more sinister than any mortal blade
For a blade can harm the flesh,
While vengeance wound the soul.

In a castle by a frozen river,
Where dusk and darkness lightly shiver
And the wind dies down
Like hope of men as they drown

There lives sadness and his sorrow
When darkness falls, we dream of the morrow
But what is reality? 'Tis the dream of a dream
And when we wake up, we find, things are not what we have seen.

Revenge, Wrath, Vice...
